PhD Students

Abhinand Krishna is from Kerala, India. He pursued his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Kannur University and completed his Master’s degree in Biopolymer Science from the Cochin University of Science and Technology in 2022. For his Master’s thesis, he worked on pectin biopolymer hydrogels for fertilizer delivery applications under the supervision of Prof. Asish Pal at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.

 

From 2022 to 2025, he worked as a Junior Research Fellow under Dr. Monika Gupta at the Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar. His research focused on the design and synthesis of azobenzene-based liquid crystalline systems for molecular solar thermal fuel applications. Currently, his research focuses on exploring non-equilibrium systems for catalysis and sensing applications. Apart from research, he enjoys watching movies, traveling, and exploring new places, food, and cultures.
